Cabo Pro-Am Things to Know
January 14 – 18, 2019
PASSPORT:
Must have a Passport to travel to and from Mexico
TEMPERATURES:
Avg. Daytime highs – 72 – 82 degrees
Avg. Nightime lows – 60 – 65 degrees
CLOTHING: Dress:
Casual – Golf shorts are appropriate for both professional and amateur golfers. Jackets are not required for any of our social functions. Evening functions are smart casual. Ladies will probably want to bring a wrap for the 2 functions.
TRANSPORTATION:
From the airport: There are a number of companies at the airport who offer transportation to the hotel. You can contact the concierge at the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar to arrange transportation for you. It is a 25 minute drive from the airport to the hotel.
From the hotel to the golf courses: The resort has an ongoing shuttle to and from the hotel and Cabo del Sol. It is about a 3 minute ride.
From the hotel into Cabo or San Jose: I recommend getting a taxi shuttle at the hotel. They are available there at the hotel around the clock. The cost for the 7 or 8 mile ride should be around $20 each way (much cheaper and safer than renting a vehicle).
CABO DEL SOL:
The famous Cabo del Sol golf club is a great place to have lunch or a drink following your round. You might want to have your spouse or significant other join you there following your round (if you can get them to leave the pool)! You will receive complimentary world famous shrimp or fish tacos at the turn when we are playing the Ocean Course. You are responsible for your beverages there but the tacos are included. Definitely one of the highlights of the trip!
